The wall is the back of a garage in San Jose, California. The door is no longer in use and opens into the garage. In the spring, the wall is covered in ivy.

An interesting balance of abstraction and representation. It suggests the passage of time and the ways that nature eventually trumps the manmade. The two plastic stakes, to the right and left, bracket the whole and suggest some indeterminate middle ground between the geometric design of the doors and the ganglia of the vines.
