Angora Fire Smoke from Tahoe Vista, CA 8pm 6/25/2007

Tahoe Vista is on the north shore of Lake Tahoe, over twenty five miles from the forest fire near the south shore of the lake. The fire had been burning for thirty hours and a smokey haze covered the lake. Two days later, Lake Tahoe appeared to be smoke free. As of this posting (8:30am 6/29), the fire is 70% contained and officials predict it will be out by July 3.

This is a beautiful shot. Incredibly peaceful. I love the gentle gradient of pink to blue.
